For about 6 months there was a possum I named Gordon who used to dash out of that thicket to cross the road. I can't tell you how many times I braked for him, and for months have slowed down passing that thicket in case Gordon was about to make an appearance. Then about a half mile down the road one day there was a dead possum and I wondered if he had finally met his end. I just didn't know if he'd have wandered down that far and couldn't find out, so thanks for the blog.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11544183131885117095noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7457205109032775199.post-87795052898767916972016-02-26T09:31:03.948-05:002016-02-26T09:31:03.948-05:00Recently I read that the Opossum also is the best...Recently I read that the Opossum also is the best animal to get rid of the ticks. They eat more than any other animal as many as 5,000 a day! Having them in your area is a benefit to reduce tick borne diseases. Also because of their unique low body blood temperature they can't be infected with the rabies virus. Great little animal to see and have around.
